New baby gorilla born to mother Munini and Silverback Bweza

A new baby gorilla has been born to mother Munini and Silverback Bweza of the Nshongi gorilla family in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest! This is Munini’s fourth baby in the group, she first gave birth to Raha in 2012, Bayenza in 2017, and Kijumwa in 2017. With the new addition, the Nshongi gorilla group has grown to 14 individuals. We thank Uganda Wildlife Authority, the park rangers and conservation organisations for their daily work protecting the mountain gorillas.
